
Giordano Dance Chicago (GDC), America's original jazz dance company, has announced its 2026-2027 "untamed passion" season. Highlights of the season include a November engagement at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, an April Harris Theater engagement featuring world premieres by GDC Resident Choreographer Al Blackstone and Cuban American Choreographer/Movement Artist Ricky Ubeda, guest
appearances in Chicago area dance community events, and the return of GDC's popular
"Dancing With The Giordano Stars" competition benefit and "Studio 64" Gala.
"At Giordano Dance Chicago, every season is a chance to break barriers—and for our 64th season, we're going bigger than ever," says GDC Artistic Director Nan Giordano. "From our electrifying fall performances at the North Shore Center to our dynamic spring engagement at the Harris Theater, and every stage we ignite in between, we're unleashing the power, passion and pure exhilaration of Giordano. Featured in the North Shore Center's inaugural season, GDC joins the 30th anniversary programming for two performances featuring a mix of new works and popular repertoire radiating GDC's signature energy and boundless spirit.

Since Dance for Life's inception in 1992, the incredible talents of local dance companies have united choreographers, artists, and designers in a night of celebration and spectacular performances to benefit the community.

Giordano Dance Chicago is one of the popular Chicago dance companies featured in the Midwest's largest free performing arts festival, Chicago Live! For the first time ever at Navy Pier, GDC is showcased in two electrifying performances in one evening: Giordano II at 5:30 p.m., followed by Giordano Dance Chicago at 6 p.m. This is a special opportunity to see dance's next generation and the ensemble of GDC's internationally acclaimed company dancers in one program for a must-see celebration of jazz dance excellence.

DancerPalooza is a summer dance festival featuring a variety of dance intensives, master classes, and performances for dancers of all ages and skill levels. This year's event features an extraordinary four-day concert intensive with GDC, internationally celebrated for its innovation, artistry and excellence in jazz dance on Aug. 3-6. A full company performance caps the GDC experience on Aug. 8. This kind unique blending of the concert dance world into the competitive/convention world is a one of a kind partnership.
